What is it?

Travel Policy reflects intentionally created policy of business travel organisation.It includes procedures, which regulate in great detail the area of business travel.

Travel Policy procedures regulate issues such as:

  • deadlines for placing orders (dates before the departure),
  • travel class (business, economy),
  • hotel rating,
  • price range for tickets and accommodation for each destination,
  • employees’ permission to place and confirm orders in a travel agency,
  • ways of reporting,
  • ways of monitoring business travel cost,
  • ways of payment settlement with an IATA agent.

Travel Policy should be consistent with general business guidelines, company’s aims, strategies and mission.
